1. Collaborative Engagement:

   Initiate discussions with the Council and relevant government authorities to understand the development and its assessment requirements.

2. Scoping Report Preparation:

   Prepare a scoping report to obtain the Secretary Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the EIS.

3. Compliance Review:

   Review the proposed development's compliance with current planning requirements.

4. Specialist Studies Coordination:

   Review the adequacy of commissioned studies to ensure accuracy and relevance.

6. Project Team Liaison:

   Collaborate with the project team to assess the design and address any concerns.

7. Stakeholder Consultation:

   Develop and implement a stakeholder consultation strategy in alignment with SEARs and legislative requirements.

   Develop project website, track and report on web traffic, organise community drop in sessions, provide the community with preferred options to communicate and draft plain language newsletters, signage and notifications.

   Undertake a risk assessment of each stakeholder based on their likely level of interest and influence on project approval.

   Summarize consultation details and raise issues in the EIS.

8. Drafting Environmental Impact Statement:

   Prepare a comprehensive EIS covering the project description, addressing planning requirements, considering alternatives, justifying the preferred project, assessing environmental and social impacts, identifying mitigation measures, and providing conclusions and appendices.

9. Revision and Submission:

   Make necessary revisions to the EIS based on feedback.

   Submit the final EIS to either the Council or the State Government.
