Alexandria Materials Recycling Facility and Transfer Station

Visy collects waste from yellow bins within residential areas and recycles it to create cardboard and plastic pellets. It has waste transfer stations strategic located all over Sydney as logistic centres to sort and transfer waste.

Visy needed to relocate their waste transfer site at St Peters to make way for the Sydney Airport Gateway Project. Urban Perspectives provided advice on sites that meet their specific site requirements. Once Visy found its preferred site Urban Perspective helped Visy obtain planning approval for their new facility. The development was State Significant Development so we prepared an Environmental Impact Statement and obtained approval from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
